To book a consultation:
- Browse experts using the search or category filters
- Visit an expert's profile to see their availability
- Select an available time slot that works for you
- Add a message about what you'd like to discuss
- Submit your booking request
The expert will review your request and confirm or suggest an alternative time.
Video consultations happen through the expert's preferred video platform (usually Zoom or Google Meet). Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive the video call link in your booking confirmation. Simply click the link at the scheduled time to join the call.
To maintain quality and prevent spam, messaging is available after you've made a booking with an expert. This ensures meaningful conversations between travelers and local experts who are committed to helping each other.
Anyone with local knowledge can become an expert! Here's how:
- Create an account or log in
- Go to your Dashboard and click "Become an Expert"
- Fill out your expert profile with your specialties and experience
- Set your availability and hourly rate
- Add your video call link
Your profile will be visible to travelers looking for local insights!
You can cancel a booking from your Dashboard. Go to Bookings, find the session you want to cancel, and click "Cancel Booking." Please try to give as much notice as possible so the expert can adjust their schedule. See our cancellation policy for more details.
